rift

i have been stewing about an incident that happened a couple weeks ago. my co-leader and i are very different. she is ultra liberal in everything she does. she doesn't raise her child the way i raise mine and she rarely showers. all that to say, she and i had set up a meeting to discuss the remainder of the girl scout year. we have had some issues with things we scheduled not working out and wanted to have as many girls attend as possible. she made a big deal about this meeting saying we should go to a restaurant and have a drink and go over our plan and while we do that my daughter could play with hers at their house. she confirms this meeting in front of my daughter so as soon as we get home lillian wants to know when she can go to ari's and if she can sleep over. i tell her lisa is supposed to call and when she does we will figure it out. well it gets to be 8 pm and lisa hasn't called. i call her and it rings several time before vm picks up. i leave a message expecting a call right back. 9 pm and no call. lil is crying because she really wanted to play and have a sleep over. i'm upset because she had to make a big deal about it and talk about it in front of the girls if she wouldn't have said anything lil never would have known and crisis averted. lisa did not call me until tuesday night. she said she forgot to turn her phone back on. i know this is a crock because they only have cell phones and if it wasn't on it would've gone straight to vm. so not only did she brush me off but she lied too. if she didn't want to get together why didn't she just say so. i am not a hard person to talk to. so now there is a rift and i don't want to address it i want her to just go away. i know this won't happen because she is a neighbor and our kids are bff's (or so they say, that changes daily too). also we had talked about lil going to their house after school on thursday and friday so she wouldn't have to be in the after school program that she doesn't like. now i don't want that to happen either. i would want to pay them something so they don't look at it as a favor and then ask me to take their kid a couple days a week. i am too busy to have that happen. although at the start of the school year ari would show up at our house and ask if she could come in and play with lil. i would ask if her parents knew where she was and she said they sent her. who does that? she is only six and it's not like they can see our house from theirs. they send her out when ever they don't feel like entertaining her which happened too often for my patience. i finally told ari she needed to call before she came over or not get upset when she stopped by and lil couldn't play. ari is very much into saying things aren't fair. she doesn't like it when michael plays with them and sometimes i can understand but she throws a fit and says she feels left out because lil is playing with her brother. i finally told her she needed to leave if that's the way she was going to act. this child also believes that god doesn't love her. her parents don't want to go to church so they leave her hanging on the subject. i don't know why they have a rift with god but they should not make their daughter feel that way. i may not enjoy this kid but she should at least understand god. she is going to be one messed up kid. she will think every thing is unfair if it doesn't go her way and she will resent her parents for not being responsible for her and making the decisions she could not. why are people so infuriating? why can't they all be perfect like me?
