lucky shopper, rocky night

again the president is on my ass to get it in gear so here i am. this week has been better than last week. i started christmas shopping and that always makes me happy. i get to shop. i love it. also we got our christmas gift from mark's grandparents and that always makes us smile. they send money and lots of it. if it weren't for that we would not have such a merry christmas. we are very lucky.
i have to buy a gift for a sister-in-law that has everything and i don't know what to get for her. she says she enjoys pottery barn and home goods but i have only been to their new house once and they had just moved in so nothing was done. i don't know what colors to get or what themes she wants in her house. so far i have one $3 vase and i am stuck. i guess i have to do more shopping.
i have to try and finish by this weekend because all next will be spent cleaning my house. i get to host christmas day for my siblings and parents and maybe my grandparents. there will be at least 22 people in my little house. i think it's funny that i have the biggest kitchen of any of then yet the smallest house. i asked my sisters and mom what i should make and they suggested brunch. i like the idea because i am not a very good cook and i was scared to make a big meal for everyone. but i know i can make eggs and hashbrowns.
tonight i am trying to get my christmas cards addressed and sealed. i hope to get half of then in the mail tomorrow. we'll see if that actually happens.
also tonight i was chasing the kids around the house. they like to play this game where i am a troll and i run after them saying "i'm coming to gobble you up!" well michael tripped on the carpet and flew into the wall. he's got a huge bump/bruise in the middle of his forehead. then i get him calmed down and into the car and and tell lil to get out there and buckle up so we can go to swimming. i get myself in the car to find her crying because she closed the door on her hand. it was a rocky start to the end of my day.
